Assumption of Risk

I understand and acknowledge that operating or riding as a passenger on a Personal Watercraft (PWC) involves inherent risks, including, but not limited to, injury, drowning, collision, equipment failure, and unpredictable weather or water conditions. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), operator inexperience is a leading cause of PWC accidents, and collisions with other vessels are the most common type of incident. I voluntarily accept full responsibility for all risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen, while participating in this activity.

Health & Fitness Declaration

I affirm that I am in good physical condition and do not suffer from any medical conditions such as heart problems, epilepsy, dizziness, or recent surgery that would impair my ability to operate or ride a PWC. I understand this declaration is required for insurance and liability protection.

Rental Policies & Requirements

Boater License & ID

All riders must present a valid state-issued ID, passport, or equivalent legal identification along with a copy of a Florida Boater Safety Education Identification Card or approved temporary certificate upon arrival. This is required by Florida law for anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, who operates a vessel with 10 horsepower or more.

Age Policy

• You must be 21 or older to operate a PWC.
• Anyone under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
• No one under 21 may rent or operate a PWC without a guardian present.
• With parent/legal guardian consent, ages 21+ may ride as passengers.

PWC Rules & Weight Limits

• A maximum of two riders per Jet Ski.
• Combined rider weight must not exceed model limits.
• No reckless operation or riding under the influence.
• You must remain within the designated riding zones.

Safety Briefing Requirement

• You must arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled ride time.
• You must attend a mandatory in-person safety briefing.
• All participants must review the safety videos on our website prior to arrival.

Important Information

Location-Specific Rules (Manatee County - 34209)

• Manatee Protection Zones: Be aware of designated Slow Speed and Idle Speed zones, especially around Anna Maria Island and the Manatee River. These are legally enforced to protect manatees. Collisions with watercraft account for 20-25% of all manatee mortalities.
• Anna Maria Island: [Inference] The waters under and near the Anna Maria Island Bridge are typically designated as a No Wake Zone due to high traffic. Always operate at an idle speed in these areas.
• General Traffic: Be mindful of other vessels, including larger boats in the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), and always give a wide berth to divers and other water users.

Deposit and Payment Policy

• A valid credit card is required to secure the reservation and deposit.
• A $250 deposit is required. Depending on the extent of damages, the renter may be held financially accountable for repair or replacement costs.
• The deposit will be refunded upon the timely and undamaged return of the watercraft.
• A late fee will be charged for delays.
• A 10% credit card processing fee and a 7% county sales tax will be added to the total cost.

Fall Overboard Safety

If you fall overboard, please:

1. Remain calm and keep your life vest on.
2. Approach the PWC from the rear.
3. Re-board carefully using the re-boarding step or handle.
4. Signal for assistance if needed.
5. Follow all staff or emergency responder instructions.

Acknowledgment of Agreement

I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to all terms of this agreement. I understand that all rules and legal requirements must be followed to ensure personal and public safety. Non-compliance could result in the termination of the rental without a refund.
